Peekskill, NY/March 26, 2008 – Iraq Veterans for Congress (IVC),
a growing coalition of 13 pro-victory Iraq veterans
running for Congress, announced its disappointment
with the decision of a Minnesota school to cancel an appearance by Vets for Freedom.
"Pete Hegseth and Vets for Freedom represent the best in
America. Their devotion to country and willingness to sacrifice
is a model for our youth," said Kieran Lalor, the founder of IVC.
The Vets for Freedom National Heroes Tour had been
scheduled to stop in Minnesota and speak with an assembly of students at Forest
Lake Senior High School. Vets for Freedom Director Pete Hegseth
is a graduate of the school. "The school caved in to pressure
from the extreme left. It denied students an opportunity to
learn from real heroes." said Lalor.
