Fishkill, New York – February 15, 2012:  Today Duane Sand, Republican candidate for United States Senate from North Dakota, received the enthusiastic endorsement of Afghanistan & Iraq Veterans for Congress (AIVC) political action committee. 

“Duane Sand has for decades demonstrated his clear commitment to conservative values, selfless service to country and the people of North Dakota,” said AIVC founder Kieran Michael Lalor. 

Sand attended the U.S. Naval Academy in Annapolis, Maryland.

Democratic challenger Patrick Murphy is following Republican Rep. Allen West up Florida's east coast to take on the first-term congressman in his newly adopted district.

The Obama administration has been accused of telling Catholic military chaplains what they can and cannot say from their pulpits after the Army ordered Catholic chaplains not to read a letter to parishioners from their archbishop.

The Secretary of the Army feared the letter could be viewed as a call for civil disobedience.

Wilmington, NC: FEC filings released today show that 2010 conservative GOP nominee Ilario Pantano has surged 10% in his best fundraising quarter of 2011. Pantano’s momentum is noteworthy as his opponent, lobbyist David Rouzer, has seen his support fall off 60% from the third quarter to the fourth quarter in 2011.
